MARINE INFRASTRUCTURE
We have a long standing and proven history in the design, analysis and development of remediation repairs of marine infrastructure including wharfs, berths, marinas, jetties, trestles, fendering systems, dolphins and caisson structures. We understand the challenges associated with operating and maintaining steel and concrete structures in this highly corrosive environment and the necessity of developing durable and sustainable solutions for these assets. We have overseen the successful delivery of many remediation designs and repair methodologies for domestic and international port operators.
Recently, we have delivered engineering analysis and load rating assessments of existing marine infrastructure in New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia. This work has included remedial and upgrade designs of existing structures as well as working with our clients to develop asset management, operational and repair strategies. We have also used our analysis and modelling capability to define operational limitations based on the structural utilisations and geotechnical conditions.
Our marine infrastructure services include:
- Concrete and steel remediation designs for marine environments.
- Steel pile repair design including protective coatings.
- Mooring and Berthing analysis.
- Geotechnical analysis, foundation and rock anchor design (for marine piles).
- Load rating assessments of wharves, jetties, dolphins and approach bridges.
- Design and selection of fendering systems.
- Remedial design, 3D modelling and drafting.
- Maintenance strategy and development.
- Construction quality assurance and quality control.
- Asset management and life extension.
