RKF ES welcomes senior structural engineer Marc Franklin
RKF Engineering Services is pleased to welcome Marc Franklin, who recently joined the consultancy as a Senior Structural Engineer in Wollongong.
Originally from Wollongong, Marc moved to Sydney in 2011 after completing his Bachelor of Engineering. He went on to study a Master of Engineering Science and spent the next several years honing his skills in structural design.
Marc has extensive experience in the design of building and bridge structures. He has worked on the design of a diverse range of buildings in Australia and abroad, from multi-level residential to commercial and industrial facilities. Marc has undertaken the detailed designed of a number of new bridges currently under construction in NSW. Further bridge experience includes the condition assessment, load rating and rectification design of a variety of existing road and rail bridges constructed using concrete, steel and timber.
What does Marc enjoy most about engineering? ‘The variety in the projects I get to work on. Engineering is so broad that it never gets boring.’
When he’s not working, you’ll find Marc wreaking havoc on the tennis court and spending time with his wife, Emily.
