Project Description

Marine Maintenance Strategies

RKF Engineering Services was engaged by our client, a port authority operating in Western Australia, who required feasibility engineering for maintenance strategies for two of their concrete wharves. The works required condition survey of the structures to determine the current condition and the development of maintenance strategies from ‘do nothing’ to ‘continued maintenance and repair’ to ‘full replacement’.

RKF Engineering has a long history of port repair and maintenance and was ideally positioned to provide a range of options for these aging and deteriorated structures so that the authority could develop long term plans for the wharves.

We continue to provide support to the authority as they continue to work through the long term plans and have recently provided another short term maintenance plan for one of the wharves that is scheduled for replacement before 2030.
