RKF Engineering Services was engaged by our client, a port authority operating in Western Australia, who required detailed engineering assessment and condition surveying of a wharf recently acquired from private owners. 

The asset, which was built in 2015 includes two wharves, a roll-on-roll-off wharf and breakwater harbour had been originally designed for operating vehicles and limited heavy vehicles only and our client required load rating information for a wider variety of heavy vehicles as well as cranes to supplement the original load limits. 

As part of the works, RKF Engineering Services conducted a condition survey to determine the current condition of the structures and identify any areas where damage or deterioration may have affected the original design capacity. 

RKF Engineering Services continues to provide our client with ongoing load rating analysis support for unusual loads as well as maintenance and repair works to rectify deterioration identified during our survey.
