Hai is a Senior Structural Engineer with over 24 years of experience in bridges, ports, and civil structures. He specialises in structural analysis, condition assessment, and the design of new structures, as well as strengthening and remediation solutions.
His expertise in strengthening concrete structures includes the design of integral bridge structures, as well as advanced techniques for concrete strengthening such as FRP, near-surface mounted (NSM) systems, and external post-tensioning. Hai has a proven record of leading complex assessments and certifications, including works on the Mission River Bridge and critical infrastructure along the Callide Power Station heavy-load route.
His work on Level 3 bridge inspections and major wharf upgrades ensures the continued safety and serviceability of key assets.
Hai has presented several practical and applied papers at the Small Bridges Conferences, International Public Works, and the Austroads Bridge Conferences.
