Project Description

Cathodic Protection (CP)

RKF Engineering Services has been engaged by a port terminal in the Pilbara, Western Australia, to provide annual auditing of cathodic protection systems at the wharves for several years. Our long term engagement has assured the client that the cathodic protection system is continually maintained and operating as intended to ensure the protection of the wharf concrete and piles.

We audit each system against Australian Standard operating criteria and trouble shoots any defects identified to provide the client with a detailed maintenance list for ongoing repairs to the system.

We have also provided design and procurement services for some systems where major electrical cabinets associated with the system required replacement due to long term exposure to port activity and adverse weather conditions.

All cathodic protection audits are undertaken by our AMPP (NACE) trained and accredited staff.
