RKF Engineering Services was engaged by our client, a mining company located in the Bowen Basin, Queensland, Australia, who required a method of cleaning its heavy mining equipment prior to servicing with minimal environmental impact. The vast range of equipment was of varying length, width, height and track.

Our structural engineers designed a multipurpose wash facility completed with floor sprays, overhead gantry sprays, settlement and recycled water treatment facilities. This heavy vehicle wash design has now been accepted across all of our client’s coal mines as a designated high quality, fit for purpose facility and the template for future wash facilities and general approach to industrial design.
